Price & Quantity: Rs. 265/- for 80 ml (But you can always get
good discounts online)
Shelf life:
3 years from the date of manufacture
What the product claims: Plant derived alpha hydroxyl extracts
present in this light oil free moisturiser replenish moisture, provide a
vibrant smooth complexion and reveal fresh newer skin. The complexion is
rejuvenated into looking and feeling younger.
Directions for use: Cleanse face thoroughly. Apply lavishly all
over face and neck. Use regularly in morning and evening.
Ingredients:
Packaging: It comes packed in a light yellow coloured plastic bottle. It has pump style which is secured with a cap. The cap shuts properly making it travel friendly. The pump is very convenient and hygienic to use. It dispenses just the right amount of product hence avoids wastage of product.
Fragrance:
It has some herbal floral scent which I personally didn’t like much. But the
smell doesn’t linger for long so sensitive noses won’t bother.
Colour, texture & consistency: It is milky white in colour. The texture is awesome. It is very smooth. The consistency of the product is neither too thick nor runny. It is absolutely wonderful.
My take on the product: I am totally in love with this product. This
is the one moisturiser which I always go back to. It is water based and very
light weight. True to its claims, it is completely oil free. It leaves no
greasy feeling or no white cast behind. It just sinks into the skin like a
dream. The ingredient list is pretty
impressive. It has almond oil, grapes extract, aloe vera, lactic acid and milk
enzymes as the key ingredients. Due to presence of naturally derived alpha
hydroxy acids, it offers gentle exfoliation to the skin. Skin feels soft,
supple and rejuvenated with each use.
I use it as my daily moisturiser
after cleansing and toning my face. It acts as a great makeup base. Neither
oily zones nor dry patches. Due to daily
travelling in pollution, my skin was looking dull and tired. But since I have
started using this moisturiser, it feels more even and bright. I also use it as
night cream and it excels there also.
This moisturiser is suited for
all skin types, but I think it will work wonders for normal, combination and
oily skin types. Dry skinned beauties may want to use it during summers but for
winters it may not be able to handle the dry skin alone. For me (normal to
oily, acne prone skin) it works wonders. I use it all year round. And it never
causes breakouts.
Pros:
1. Lightweight oil free moisturiser
2. Small quantity is sufficient so price is justified
for the quantity
3. Bright and even complexion over time
Cons:
1. Presence of parabens.
2. Lack of SPF, so can’t skip sunscreen.
Sensible Lily Rating: 4.5/5
Final verdict: Lotus Herbals ALPHAMOIST Alpha Hydroxy Skin
Renewal Oil Free Moisturiser is a boon for normal, combination, oily and acne
prone skin which offers apt hydration without shine and skin rejuvenation
benefits with regular use.
